And me again…

I have nearly a decade’s experience holding transformational programmes at the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland. I continue working and playing to transform the shame I have felt in various areas
of my life.

"Shining light on a taboo and shaming area of gay sexuality. Made me feel accepted." + "Massively exceeded my expectations." + "Keone and James are a great team and their rapport is brilliant." + "Really strong sense of compassion and creativity." + "Sensitively held with clear guidelines and boundaries which made it safe to share." + "I loved the reframing that both skilfully offered." +

Keone and I have been talking shit among ourselves for years now, wondering why there are so few places, times and opportunities to talk about it. So little space for chats about this mostly everyday act. We determined that we would open up a space for such conversations and we developed Talking Shit. These workshops/playshops are safe spaces for shining a light on what can be the darkest of areas and nobody is going to be shamed for anything they share.

For many of us shit can hold a deep sense of shame. However, having a shit is our first creative act and one that is primal. While it might feel disgusting for some it can be delightful for others. We can find joy in the act of shitting, play in it, art. The invitation during a Talking Shit session is to play with transmuting any shame into delight and appreciation.

We have offered this deep and meaningful workshop/playshop at London’s Loving Men+ EDGE Festival and at Berlin’s Stretch Festival. Both of us match sensitivity with a grounded sense of fun as we look for the gold in life’s shit. We love to get people talking about their poo and we’re very happy to take these sessions anywhere we’re invited to open up a space to share about shit.

A participant at a recent event wrote, "I came to this workshop to start an understanding of my relationship to shit. I am surprised at how my relationship with it has been quite limiting for me. I found the sharing of people’s stories fascinating and very helpful in understanding where I am at. I connected with grief and anger around it. I left with a curiosity about how my relationship with shit will become more helpful."

Please get in touch via the contact page if you would like us to bring Talking Shit to your group, festival or event.
