Talking Shit — opportunities to deal with your shit about shit

Leading your workshop/playshop are:

Keone Wales

An artist, writer, coach and facilitator who has worked 1:1 and in group settings over the last 25 years. Using play, talk, visualisation, bodywork and creative expression they help release what’s blocked and welcome in what’s needed.

And it’s me again…

I have nearly a decade’s experience holding transformational programmes at the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland. I continue working and playing to transform the shame I have felt in various areas of my life.

Keone and I have been talking shit among ourselves for years now, wondering why there are so few places, times and opportunities to talk about it. So little space for chats about this mostly everyday act. We determined that we would open up a space for such conversations and we developed Talking Shit. These workshops/playshops are safe spaces for shining a light on what can be the darkest of areas and nobody is going to be shamed for anything they share.

For many of us shit can hold a deep sense of shame. However, having a shit is our first creative act and one that is primal. While it might feel disgusting for some it can be delightful for others. We can find joy in the act of shitting, play in it, art. The invitation during a Talking Shit session is to play with transmuting any shame into delight and appreciation.

We have offered this deep and meaningful workshop/playshop at London’s Loving Men+ EDGE Festival and at Berlin’s Stretch Festival. Both of us match sensitivity with a grounded sense of fun as we look for the gold in life’s shit. We love to get people talking about their poo and we’re very happy to take these sessions anywhere we’re invited to open up a space to share about shit.

Please get in touch via the contact page if you would like us to bring Talking Shit to your group, festival or event.
